Our relationship with local suppliers means that we can provide high quality countertops at affordable prices by passing on savings to our customers. To assist you in choosing the right type of countertop for your needs, below is a short guide on the different countertop materials we have available.
Granite Countertops
Granite is considered the "elite" countertop material, with natural beauty few other materials can match. Granite is a natural stone with outstanding strength, while being resistant to heat, scratches and stains and protecting against mold and mildew. Our granite countertops are sealed and don't require annual maintenance.
Choose a granite countertop if you are looking for the ultimate in maintenance-free beauty, with varying shades and hues available to make your countertop unique.
Quartz/Engineered Stone Countertops
Quartz countertops (also known as Engineered stone) are made from a high concentration of quartz crystals. The material is one of the hardest surfaces on earth, making it ideal material for kitchen countertops. Quartz is naturally non-porous and scratch resistant with beautiful, multi-dimensional color. It has built-in anti-microbial protection to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew.
Choose this type of countertop for their consistency and wide range of colors and patterns.
Solid Surface Countertops
Solid surface countertops are a relatively new type of countertop made from durable, man-made acrylic. They are resistant to stains, moisture, sunlight and heat and come in a wide variety of colors and finishes. The material molds to any shape and allows for seamless installation with an integrated sink. Solid surface countertops repel moisture and inhibit the growth of mold and bacteria. Scratches to the surface can be repaired.
Choose this type of countertop if you want a wide selection of patterns and colors while getting higher quality and durability than laminate, and greater affordability than granite or quartz countertops.
Laminate Countertops
Laminate countertops consist of a hard particle board core with a layer of plastic laminate bonded on top. They are popular due to their affordability and wide variety of colors, patterns and finishes, with many made to mimic the look of more expensive surfaces like marble or granite. They also come with the option of an integrated stainless steel or composite sink. Plastic laminate is tough and fairly durable, resists stains, abrasions and moisture, and retains its beauty with little maintenance.
Choose this type of countertop if you are looking for a large choice of finishes at an affordable price, giving you the ability to change your kitchen style every few years.
Cultured Marble Vanity Tops
We offer cultured marble vanity tops with molded-in sinks. Cultured marble is made by mixing high strength polyester resin with real marble stone dust, which is then poured into a cast mold. The material is a less expensive and more durable than real stone marble, while mimicking the beautiful veining and patterns of its natural counterpart. It is low maintenance, easy to clean and resistant to stains, mildew and chips.
Choose a cultured marble countertop if you desire the distinctiveness and elegance of marble at a reduced cost and greater durability.
